MORTAL WEATHER BY K.P. MCCARTHY

RATING: πŸ“šπŸ“šπŸ“šπŸ“š

Mortal Weather was such a heartfelt and quirky read. Every single character, primary and secondary, really made the book shine. This book had my heart from the beginning to the end, it was that damn good.

The book focuses on life and death. It also focuses on grief and how we heal from it. We go through the character’s journey to heal. We see the highs and the lows as the author navigates us through.

If you have ever experienced death (you may have had a close call or you may have lost someone close to you), then you can understand the darkness it brings. You can understand how hard it is to move on, but you don’t have a choice but to push forward because life isn’t going to stop.

The author touches each topic beautifully. This was such a magical read and I know I will be rereading it for years to come. It’s engaging, thoughful, and funny. Highly recommend.

Among other things, Kevin Patrick McCarthy has been a geothermal geologist, a technical writer, a critic, and a screenwriter. His humor, essays, poetry, and fiction have been widely recognized.
